PowerLabDK is an experimental platform for electric power and energy. The PowerLabDK facilities creates an unique research platform, ranging from flexible fundamental research laboratories to large-scale experimental facilities and a complete full-scale power distribution system, which will be a data source and platform for full-scale experiments. PowerLabDK enables development of the future intelligent electricity system that can handle the future expansion of renewable energy sources and a long-term vision of a fossil-free society.
PowerLabDK will:
- Support research which is difficult or impossible to undertake
in conventional facilities.
- Support the whole of the research and innovation process,
from fundamental theoretical and experimental research to
controlled large-scale and full-scale experiments.
- Be open and accessible for researchers from universities,
research institutions and private companies.
- Develop and be a part of international cooperation with
leading foreign research facilities and research groups.
