The international firm ABB, a global leader in power and automation technologies, and PowerLabDK have entered into close collaboration.
ABB has delivered a so called intelligent Network Manager system which is used for both laboratory research and full scale experiments on the Bornholm electric grid.
This system will be used for estimating the distribution of power from the many smaller producers of renewable energy. The system is a vital part of PowerLabDK and we expect it to be used for research and for teaching purposes.
PowerLabDK is an experimental platform for power and energy established in a consortium between Centre for Electric Technology at DTU Electrical Engineering, Copenhagen University College of Copenhagen, Risø DTU and Østkraft and with strong industrial partnerships. See: www.powerlab.dk.
