The steering committee is composed by directors of the parties and external members appointed from among the stakeholders of the platform. The steering committee will be operational during 2010. The steering committee shall assist the parties of PowerLabDK in the long-term, overall management of the facilities.
The tasks of the steering committee are to:
- Consider and deliver opinions on the strategy plans for the research platform
- Help ensure that the necessary framework is established for the continuous operation of the research platform over an appropriately long time horizon
- Consider and deliver opinions on the guidelines for use of the research platform
- Consider and deliver opinions on investment plans
- Ensure that the use of the Facilities focuses on strengthening research, technology development, training and education; see the mission and vision of the research platform
- Ensure that the individual Facilities are used optimally; see the distribution of work between and the focus of the individual Facilities
- Ensure that the Facilities are continuously maintained and updated with the necessary, most recent technology
