Joachim Skov Johansen received the E-Kandidat Award 2014 – which is given to young, promising engineers by the IDA fund, Elektrofondet – for his master thesis project “Fast-Charging Electric Vehicles using AC”. As the title suggests, Joachim Skov Johansen has investigated the possibility of AC fast-charging of EVs. The project was carried out at DTU Electrical Engineering with the supervisors Peter Bach Andersen, Tony Wederberg Rasmussen and Chresten Træholt. Today Joachim Skov Johansen holds a position which may be considered the dream job for an electro engineer, namely as Field Support Engineer with Tesla Motors Europe in the Netherlands.

Furthermore, two out of three awarded the E-Kandidat Award were from DTU Electrical Engineering.
