Best teacher of the semester at DTU Electrical Engineering Mattia Marinelli acknowledged at a virtual Department meeting.
Since DTU campus is partly physically closed due to the coronavirus pandemic our last Department meeting this year was held online via the Zoom meeting platform on Friday 11 December.
At the meeting Deputy Head of Department Michael A.E. Andersen announced that the best teacher of the Spring 2020-Summer 2020 semester at DTU Electrical Engineering is:
Associate Professor Mattia Marinelli, from our Center for Electric Power and Energy, for the MSc course '31778 Distributed energy technologies modelling and control' ('Distribueret energiteknologier modellering og kontrol').
The specific course focuses on a selection of distributed energy technologies and assesses their influence across different energy domains.
The course and its teacher received excellent student evaluations.

At the online meeting Mattia received a big round of applause and cheers from colleagues. A best teacher diploma and a box of chocolates has been forwarded to Mattia.
The best teacher nominations are based upon the student evaluations of courses as a means of providing feedback on the quality of teaching. The evaluations are received and examined by the Department's Board of Studies and Management.
