Jacob Østergaard, Professor & Head of Centre for Electric Technology explains about PowerLabDK
Nearly 400 people had turned up to attend the opening ceremony at the Oticon to hear the speeches from the Minister, the DTU principle Anders Bjarkslev, Bornholm Mayor Winni Grosbøll, the chairman of PowerLabDK´s steering committee Preben Jørgensen from Vattenfall and on the behalf of the PowerLabDK partners Professor Jacob Østergaard.
Martin Lidegaard began his speech by announcing: “Here is a happy minister” and stated that the focus of PowerLabDK fits very well with the Government’s ambition for Denmark as a low carbon society with 50 % wind in the electrical system by 2020. PowerLabDK will contribute to reach this goal by offering experimental facilities to clever minds from Denmark as from abroad. After the speeches the guests were invited to a light lunch and a tour with demonstrations in the new facilities at Lyngby campus.
