On 22 May 2014, the Nissan 2nd V2X forum took place at PowerLabDK using the Power Flexhouse and the SYSLAB infrastructure
As part of its Zero Emission Strategy, Nissan Europe is exploring the potential of Vehicle-to-X (V2X). V2X describes a number of scenarios where one or more electric vehicles use the battery capacity to power a load when access to the power grid is not possible or practical.
Nissan had chosen SYSLAB, part of the PowerLabDK platform, to demonstrate its technology during the Nissan 2nd V2X forum. The forum, hosted by DTU Risø, was attended by more than 50 external participants from European network, technology and power companies and organisations.
During the demonstration, two different Nissan electric vehicles, a Leaf and an eNV200, were connected to the PowerFlexHouse through a specialized device. A large info screen was put up to show the audience the power flow between grid, electric vehicle and the loads of the house.
The CEE Risø team did a great job preparing for the event and demonstration. Nissan has since expressed its appreciation of the outcome and the efforts put into the event by DTU.
